The Talks Between the US and Venezuela Have Been Frank and Cordial: Jorge Rodriguez

Rodriguez said that for several months there had been intentions to engage in a dialogue by the Biden administration with President Nicolás Maduro.

On Friday, in the radio program Mesa de Trabajo of W Radio, of Colombia, the Head of the Campaign Command of President Nicolás Maduro, Jorge Rodríguez, reported on the process of talks between Venezuela and the United States.

Rodriguez said that for several months there had been intentions to engage in a dialogue by the Biden administration with President Nicolás Maduro.

“The government representative of the Biden administration have sought us were looking for the president of Maduro in the last two months for us to resume talks with them we agreed to participate in those talks,” said the campaign manager.

Likewise, the Boliviarian state affirmed that it would only accept the negotiation as long as everything was done with respect and transparency.

The conversations between the governments of the United States and Venezuela have been frank and on cordial terms, we hope that they will continue once President Nicolás Maduro is re-elected on July 28.

Jorge Rodriguez said that the demands of the Venezuelan side were respected and the conversation was held in Qatar.

According to Rodríguez, “The talks between the US governments and Venezuela have been frank and in cordial terms, we hope that it will continue once President Nicolás Maduro is re-elected on July 28”.
